Statutory Reviews

The Keeping Bristol Safe Partnership is constituted to perform the functions of the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Arrangements (MASA), Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB), and Community Safety Partnership (CSP). The Keeping Bristol Safe Partnership has the statutory responsibility to commission and undertake reviews following the death or serious harm of an individual in cases that meet the criteria for review as outlined in relevant legislation detailed below.

Keeping Children Safe delivers the functions of the KBSP’s Multi-Agency Safeguarding Arrangements to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of children as required by Working Together 2023. This includes responsibility for Rapid Reviews and Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews.

Keeping Adults Safe delivers the functions of the KBSP’s Safeguarding Adults Board as required by the Care Act 2014, to help and protect adults at risk of neglect and/or abuse including the decision to commission and oversee Safeguarding Adult Reviews.

Keeping Communities Safe delivers the functions of the KBSP’s Community Safety Partnership Board in accordance with the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 to protect our communities from crime and to help people feel safe. This includes commissioning and oversight of Domestic Homicide Reviews, also known as Domestic Abuse Related Death Reviews.
